Not therapy. A quiet place before sleep.

Empty your head before bed.

Write down whatever keeps you up. Let time answer. Over the weeks, your own record shows you the truth — most of what kept you awake never came to pass.

In a sleep-lab study, five minutes of writing before bed helped people fall asleep ~9 minutes faster. (Baylor University, 2018)

Sound familiar?

Your mind sounds alarms early.

The brain that kept your ancestors alive was built to over-warn — a rustle in the grass, better assume it's a tiger. At 2am that same alarm fires at emails, money, and people. You're not broken. The smoke detector is just sensitive.

How it works

Three quiet steps, once a night.

01

Empty your head

Before bed, speak or type whatever's on your mind. No structure needed — mindaside quietly sorts it into separate worries for you.

02

Let time answer

A worry you never return to quietly fades on its own. When one's ready, a quick look asks what actually happened — in your own words. We never decide if you were right.

03

See what was real

Each worry you close becomes a star in your sky. Over time you'll see the shape of your own mind — which fears pass, which need action, which keep returning.

Your sky

A pattern only you can see.

One night proves nothing. But across weeks, your own record starts to show its shape. Bright stars are worries that never came. Warm ones you handled. Dim ones happened — and you're still here.

  • Bright · never came
  • Warm · resolved
  • Dim · occurred

My sky

89%shine bright — they never came true.

The science, briefly

~9 min faster to fall asleep

In a Baylor University sleep-lab study, people who spent five minutes writing down what was on their mind before bed fell asleep in about 16 minutes — versus 25 for those who didn't. The more specific the writing, the faster they drifted off. Offloading the mind is the active ingredient.

Scullin et al., Journal of Experimental Psychology: General (2018), n=57, polysomnography.

Every worry is quietly a forecast: “this will go wrong.” Forecasts can be checked. So instead of arguing with your fear at midnight, you write it down and let time answer.

Made to be forgotten by everyone but you

Your words stay yours.
